Home studio copyright version. ~ DUET~ Country/Pop cross over, with impressive piano chords and catchy drum beats. I didn't have a girl to sing the female part so I sang both parts. So please VIEW THE LYRIC while listening to get the true message.
The ideas in this song can apply universally; to a wide audience.
The issues are always on going in our society, and can apply to any one in the world.
3 DAYS LATE -DUET
© 2002 by Cal
verse
(He)
Standin' on your doorstep
TV sets still on
Snow is slightly falling
I wonder where you've gone
Freezin cold miss you so
Don't know what to do
3 DAYS LATE and loving you
verse
(She)
Some say I should lose it
The priest said that's a sin
You opened up your heart to love
Keep love flowin' in
I'll love you for the rest of my life
No matter what you choose
3 DAYS LATE and loving you
bridge
(She) We'll dust off that old cradle
(He) Sell my brand new car
(She) I know that we are able
(He) To find those extra jobs
(in harmony)
The miracle is when I look into your eyes
(in harmony)
God looks back and lovingly smiles
chorus
(in harmony)
3 DAYS LATE I'm loving you
Much more than before
The snow is slightly falling
My note's still on your door
I'll love you for the rest of my life
No matter what you do
3 DAYS LATE and loving you
chorus
(in harmony)
3 DAYS LATE and loving you
Much more than before
Snow is slightly falling
I'm still standin' at you door
I'll love you for the rest of my life
No matter what you choose
3 DAYS LATE and I'm still LOVING YOU
tag (in harmony)
I'm 3 DAYS LATE loving you
I'm 3 DAYS LATE and still loving you
I'm still loving you 3 DAYS LATE
Any comments are appreciated:
I probably stuck my neckout, with my double hook, "twist" in the title; being it may be too deep to catch.
In verse one the guy sings the hook, I'm 3 DAYS LATE etc.. seemingly being "late" getting back from somewhere; and he just may be.
But also, and more importantly, I see him as philosophically, also 3 DAYS LATE; bearing half the responsibility with the gal, for a possible child birth.
These concepts also apply to the lyric in the choruses.
I think it's clever; a guy considered 3 DAYS LATE , along with his girl.
