Senshyns Sentience - s n sh ns (senshins): The feeling or sensation as distinguished from perception and thought / the ability to feel emotion. This definition represents the root of Senshyns’ musical aspects. Characterized by emotional lyrics and gripping hard melodies, Senshyns has managed to portray the love hate relationships that daily life’s struggles bring upon one’s heart. Perhaps it is these moving harmonies or the highly energetic shows that have attracted such a large following throughout the southwest. Having struggled through being based in El Paso, Texas, an emo-core dominated city, Senshyns has managed to win the hearts of many. Topping the local radio play charts and Number 1 and 2, not only has Senshyns conquered the local scene, but have expanded their regional following by holding a position at Number 30 on the Texas Pop and Rock charts. Senshyns had its initial breakthrough with their first EP release in 2002, All Alone. Selling out at every show, this release could be heard on radio stations and CD players throughout the southwest. This was followed by Senshyns current release, Unica Flor (Unique Flower). This new EP showcases the musical development of Senshyns as well as their achievements as a band. Taking a deeper look into the music itself, one will find characteristics ranging far beyond melodic hard-rock. This is evident in the name of the EP itself, taking its name from the band’s partial Hispanic roots. It is all these aspects that has formed Senshyns into what it is today. Hoping to drive their heart-pounding music into an even greater number of listeners, Senshyns will continue to pursue their musical career to its very limits.
