I found this lick and synth patch in reason, while looking for a game sound. the patch is called 'New Yor City', and I have no idea what any of the words are about and I have to admit that I WAS hearing a bad 80's pop tune when I wrote it, HA!
Decato Brothers, Chris Decato, Jamie Decato, Portsmouth NH
These songs are on 2 CD's that I wrote with my brother Jamie for the RPM Challenge in 06, and 07... doing a full CD in 1 month is a real challenge for anyone, and there are some problems with both these, but, it's what we did, so there you go... in 06 we used Jamies V-Drums for all the live drum parts, and well... I thought it sounded like a real kit while I was mixing it, but after not listening for a few weeks I really hated the sound... it's weird cuz it's feels like his real playing kinda, but just sounds cheesy... in 07 I was busy with writing music for paying clients, so I actually stole a few ideas that had been thrown around on a few projects to get this CD finished... it was real tight, and the one thing that I had done the year before that I wished I did on this was... get people who can sing on my songs! o well... live and learn. I honestly didn't have time to book other guys to do it really anyways, and I really wanted to try to do it myself, but man... I don't like it cuz of that.

Lyrics
V1 See in the action how much we know nothing such a strange position consistent inaction it's the same old example which each could do with words and you said it's true Chorus: its true you told me its true V2 this deep sleep of man his incomprehension To what would unite us While we walk before them its their means of removal but who have nothing to add to its wisdom shows me what another man can do Chorus: its true you told me its true solo Bridge: a palace with its one jewel the permanence of this moment now we suffer ourselves to be cheated sometimes i start to think importance is fully perceived through our own energy this world will be built- built anew Chorus: its true you told me its true
