Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lonnie Milton Dunn. I was born into a musical family and was singing in church at the age of four. I learned to play the mandolin and guitar at an early age. I love to sing and play a lot of different styles of music. I started playing in clubs when I was a teenager, then later started working in construction and became a blaster. That’s my “real job” - blowing up rock. I have made a little money from music, but money’s not the real issue. It’s the crave of it, because of the love of it! I have another love in my life. First God, then family - my wife and two sons. I love them very much. They were a big part of the reason for me finding a manager down on Music Row in Nashville a few years back. I thought it would really help me break into the music business. I don’t have that manager anymore, but I did meet some of Nashville’s top songwriters. I got to write with them and sing a few demos. I even got to sing on Music City Tonight with Crook and Chase. I played a while in clubs after that, but then felt like I needed to dedicate more time to God and my family, so I put my music career on hold for a while. But as they say, “When music is in your blood, you can’t stay away.” So I am back to give it another try. I believe that God gave me a talent for music and I’m ready to share it with the world!

Lyrics
Her New Birth A young woman under conviction Setting in the pew She knew she never lived a christian life Oh how she was crying Hearing the good news She went to meet the one that they called Jesus Christ And as the tears were falling from her eyes She said “I believe and I’m ready Ready to live but not of this earth I believe and I’m ready” She’s ready to enter her new birth Years later old and sick And lying in her room She knew that she had lived a christian life Oh how she was suffering But she was going soon To meet the one that she called Jesus Christ And as the tears were falling from her eyes She said “I believe and I’m ready Ready to live but not of this earth I believe and I’m ready” She’s ready to enter her new birth She’s ready to enter her new birth
