A searing Southern Rock Ballad

High Energy Christian Blues Rock
Hi Brothers and Sisters worldwide! I'm CR and The Maccabee Project is the Music Project where, with the blessing and grace of God, I exercise sonic mayhem and share it with all who will listen. I'm a Hard Rockin' Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter with deep Blues and Southern Rock Roots. For good measure, the Lord blessed me with some good ol' Detroit High Energy Rock style to add to the mix. The Maccabee Project is based out of Roanoke, Virginia and I have had the help of former bandmates Sharon Payne (Drums) and John Yates (Bass) in putting much of this music together. I have also had the help of internet collaborators such as Pete Laite of New Jersy who shared his vast musical skills on "Red Horse."

Story behind the song
I originally wrote this song as a warning in Dec 2000. After 9/11, the lyrics had to change.
Lyrics
The Red Horse Rise O' Church from your slumber Jesus is calling you today It's time for you to wake up And get on your knees and pray The war trumpets have been sounding And there's a red horse in the gates It took peace from the land Left destruction in it's wake Chorus Rise up Yahweh's mighty warriors Be prepared the red horse is in the gates Wake up and look around you The signs are everywhere Jesus gave them to us Oh so we would all be aware That the final days are upon us And There's a beast at the door But Jesus said not to worry Our victory is sure Repeat Chorus The rider on the red horse Has a bloody sword in his hand To peace from the world And destruction upon the land I pray that you've accepted Jesus And repented of your sins Because no one knows the hour When that Red Horse will ride again Repeat Chorus Rise o'Church from your slumber Jesus is calling you today C.R.
