This is the first song in the 2002 50 song challenge. I wrote it in response to a post on RMMS asking about composing songs.
This page is a place to put songs I write for the 2002 50 songs in 90 day challenge.
Story behind the song
Someone asked about writing a metal song and on the spur of the moment, I wrote up the basic outline of the song. Then I fleshed it out and now we have this rough draft.
Lyrics
KILL ME NOW
KILL ME NOW
KILL ME NOW
Buddha said that life is all misery
I guess he didn’t have wide screen TV
I think Jesus Christ would have to agree
This world looks better on DVD
Got a boatload of porn, all stored in Zips
And all my favorite music has been ripped
I got every convenience at my fingertips
If dying makes life any better than this
KILL ME NOW, if Heaven’s so nice
KILL ME NOW, if Nirvana’s that sweet
KILL ME NOW, if Valhalla’s got room
KILL ME NOW, Now, now, now
KILL ME NOW, Now, now, now
KILL ME NOW, Now, now, now
KILL ME NOW
Connected to the world by a power cord
I’ve never seen a problem I can’t ignore
I don’t need much money to live like a lord
But you don’t want to see me when I grow bored
KILL ME NOW, if Heaven’s so nice
KILL ME NOW, if Nirvana’s that sweet
KILL ME NOW, if Valhalla’s got room
KILL ME NOW, while I’m still young
KILL ME NOW, while I’m still strong
KILL ME NOW, while I can still speak
KILL ME NOW
I’ve been a good boy
I’m almost like a saint
I’m not perfect
But I’m sure my karma’s good
KILL ME NOW, if Heaven’s so nice
KILL ME NOW, if Nirvana’s that sweet
KILL ME NOW, if Valhalla’s got room
KILL ME NOW, while I’m still young
KILL ME NOW, while I’m still strong
KILL ME NOW, while I can still speak
KILL ME NOW
