Almeria is my home now, and I can't imagine ever wanting to live anywhere else. But due to the recession and the job situation here in Spain, a lot of British people have had to up sticks and go back to the UK to find work. Plus, there are people who would like to be here full-time, but can't due to whatever reasons. So I decided to write a song for all the people who want to be in this wonderful corner of the planet, but can?t be here for whatever reason. The reception to "Almeria's Shores" has amazed me, and I?m delighted that it's on the playlists of the local radio stations down here, and getting a lot of exposure. My aim for the song is to entice people to come back to Almeria and for new visitors to see the real unspoilt Spain.
