wanted to write a moving & hopefully educational song about child abuse and how sometimes the victim rises above the pain
to break away finding freedom & a new life.

stefan stands
ouside his home , a tiny soldier in the rain
the bus pulls up , and he gets on
it takes him somewhere from the pain
off to school , he plays it cool as if there's
nothing wrong in his life
lonely boy , there is no joy if he had wings
like the birds he could fly away

AND STEFAN HAS ONE GOLDEN CURL
THAT HIDES THE TEARS THAT HE HAS SHED
AND STEFAN DREAMS OF RAINBOW BEAMS
AND ICE CREAM SWIRLS ON PONIES BY HIS BED
