Lonnie Dunn, Singer Songwriter
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lonnie Milton Dunn. I was born into a musical family and was singing in church at the age of four. I learned to play the mandolin and guitar at an early age. I love to sing and play a lot of different styles of music. I started playing in clubs when I was a teenager, then later started working in construction and became a blaster. That’s my “real job” - blowing up rock. I have made a little money from music, but money’s not the real issue. It’s the crave of it, because of the love of it! I have another love in my life. First God, then family - my wife and two sons. I love them very much. They were a big part of the reason for me finding a manager down on Music Row in Nashville a few years back. I thought it would really help me break into the music business. I don’t have that manager anymore, but I did meet some of Nashville’s top songwriters. I got to write with them and sing a few demos. I even got to sing on Music City Tonight with Crook and Chase. I played a while in clubs after that, but then felt like I needed to dedicate more time to God and my family, so I put my music career on hold for a while. But as they say, “When music is in your blood, you can’t stay away.” So I am back to give it another try. I believe that God gave me a talent for music and I’m ready to share it with the world!
