Lonnie Dunn, Singer Songwriter
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lonnie Milton Dunn. I was born into a musical family and was singing in church at the age of four. I learned to play the mandolin and guitar at an early age. I love to sing and play a lot of different styles of music. I started playing in clubs when I was a teenager, then later started working in construction and became a blaster. That’s my “real job” - blowing up rock. I have made a little money from music, but money’s not the real issue. It’s the crave of it, because of the love of it! I have another love in my life. First God, then family - my wife and two sons. I love them very much. They were a big part of the reason for me finding a manager down on Music Row in Nashville a few years back. I thought it would really help me break into the music business. I don’t have that manager anymore, but I did meet some of Nashville’s top songwriters. I got to write with them and sing a few demos. I even got to sing on Music City Tonight with Crook and Chase. I played a while in clubs after that, but then felt like I needed to dedicate more time to God and my family, so I put my music career on hold for a while. But as they say, “When music is in your blood, you can’t stay away.” So I am back to give it another try. I believe that God gave me a talent for music and I’m ready to share it with the world!

Lyrics
Don’t Change Your Name I miss you baby I miss the kids My life is empty and in pain And don’t marry him he don’t love you a bit Give me one more chance to change But don’t change your name keep it the same Give me sometime won’t you But don’t change your name let it remain Cause you still love me don’t you Not like before I’ll do things right I was completely insane Forget about what was forgive me please try And honey I know I can change But don’t change your name keep it the same Give me sometime won’t you But don’t change your name let it remain Cause you still love me don’t you You still love me don’t you Lyrics and Music by: Lonnie Dunn and Ted Day
