Fantasy-themed rock ballads and anthems
Our demo CD "The Dark Before Hope" draws on the work of Tolkien, especially the Lord of the Rings epic. Bethany, lead vocalist and lyricist, is building up a body of songs about other books she was moved by as well--she's a fantasy writer with a penchant to wax eloquent in many forms about literature. Daniel, primary musician and current producer, plays around on his bass and sometimes a guitar to find musical hooks to build more songs around.

Story behind the song
I wrote this on the piano, just a simple ballad. That's the recording--I'd like to go back and do a full production, but for now it gets the heart across.cOne of the few songs I've written on my own, with a slightly different sound because of that.
Lyrics
To you it will seem long and longcbut men know naught of timecI leave you know, I must go oncyet I need not say goodbye...ccDo not cry, Do not weepcBut also you must not forget mecWake to sun, Sleep to mooncI will wait in these halls for youc...I know you're coming to meccTo me the hours will stretch like journeyscand still I see the end race herecWhile I walk this long stone galleryclooking out where your ship will appearccDo not cry, Do not weepcBut also you must not forget mecWake to sun, Sleep to mooncI will wait in these halls for youc...I know you're coming to mecccLittle friends, my heart is bound to youcI know our fates still lay akincMy treasure, there is no questioncI will not grow weary in the spacecbefore you are here, before you are near again

Very good! This one is very musical as well. Keep writing poets, we need more poetry in this world!
