Katelyn Dawn, who was one of the top 4 girls on Canadian Idol last year is also an accomplished singer/songwriter. Recently signed by MCJB Management, Katelyn'
Although Katelyn Dawn hails from a small town, her ambitions guided her towards the big city. Armed with courage, talent and determination, she made the trek to Toronto as a 19-year-old woman from Manitoba with a guitar, a collection of original songs, and a temperamental Dodge Caravan lovingly nicknamed the âœdeathmobileâ. At 20 she is moving forward with her music career with a new EP after having spent a year exploring the road towards independence. Though there have been many roadblocks heartbreak and hardships, Katelyn has never taken her eye off of that final destination, which is to bring an honest heartfelt message to all you amazing fans through catchy melodies and thought provoking lyrics. Says Katelyn: âœI really just want to be able to create music that I am proud of, and that other people can relate to. Being on stage and having an audience feel my songs along with me is the biggest high I could imagine, after all, music is the only thing that connects strangers on such an intimate level.â With a new EP on the horizon, a Discovery Channel Showcase, and a top 4 girls spot from Canadian Idol under her belt, Katelyn Dawn has never been in such an exciting position! Her career is about to take flight and the possibilities are endless!

Lyrics
When the Coffees Cold Katelyn Dawn Theres a rumor going on In the town where I grew up Down by the old train railroad Past the row of everglades And you dont hear it enough Its a small towns heartbeat, you know If you look close enough Youll find all that you wanna see (chorus) And you shine like you never left this city at all Sometimes youre just right saying that this world was never too small And you always know when its time to come home When the coffees cold In his half-ton backseat Im defining gravity tonight All the stars start falling down And theres lightning all around me (Chorus) (Bridge) And you shine From the time you left me right here on your kitchen porch I knew I was all alone And all the wishes and the kisses that I placed on you I knew you were leaving soon (Chorus)
