Story behind the song
Having long been a fan of heroic fiction (think of Conan the Barbarian, and The Lord of the Rings), I decided to create a television show in an anthology format to feature the best short stories ever written in the genre. To this end, I created a narrator, to tie the stories together ? an elderly mage, who watches human activities from far across time and space.
He is known to the common man as The Watcher.
The TV show failed to get off the ground (you can?t even meet with those people!), so we decided to film it ourselves, and turn it into a series of feature films. The first of the stories was filmed, and post-production completed a few months ago, and we will be using it to raise funds to complete the feature.
So? stay tuned for The Watcher!
But, for now, the Watcher lives only within this song.

Lyrics
Worlds, In Their Turns
by Alan Kim Cochran
Far and far... so the tales do tell
Long to heaven, or oh so near to hell
Holding in a mystic, golden train
Calls to action; calls to light refrain
Wakeful Watcher, through the years
Peering through the billion spheres
Measure every star that burns, and...
Worlds, in their turns
Heros raise a pike, an axe, a spear
Wizards wield: thundering, primal fear
Nobles, ladies, oh! maidens, virtues torn
Love requited, but for some forlorn
Wakeful Watcher, through the years
Peering through the billion spheres
Measure every star that burns, and...
Worlds, in their turns
Beating fire, their hearts will pound
Through the skies, and underground
Dulcet tones, that drift upon the air
Balm the heart of whispering cold despair
Wakeful Watcher, through the years
Peering through the billion spheres
Measure every star that burns, and...
Worlds, in their turns
Ohhh! Burning through an acrid tear
Stygian darkness, or sunlight clear
Ever yearning, their hearts aflame
For deep seclusion, or hallowed fame
Wakeful Watcher, through the years
Peering through the billion spheres
Measure every star that burns, and...
Worlds, in their turns
