Story behind the song
Stayed up late one night in december 2008 and started free-writing. The lyrics came out of that, the melody soon after, and the chords behind it came last. I think it comes from a bit of a guilty feeling about some rather dark days I went through in college. Despite the dark lyrics, I think it's a positive message. Overall it says "take a look at where you are at in your life, and if you need to make a drastic change then have the courage to do it".
