Grew up on a hearty helping of both hair metal and folk rock. So, as a creature of my influences I tend to write heartfelt lyrics and start the writing process
Diverse, in a typical gig, you'd hear covers of bob dylan, neil young, and originals in the same vein, for instance, "Let it Rain" or "Once Upon A Sunset" and then you'd hear covers by Velvet Revolver and Bon Jovi, and originals of the like, eg. "Minion of Thor", and "Heaven's Getting Closer." Anywhere from socially conscience, to tongue in cheeck, straight up rock and roll.

Story behind the song
Well wrote the song in January or February 2005, when I was in a bit of a spot financially, and thought about how different things were on my own, and missed my mother, so I wrote a song for her.
Lyrics
Mom Written By: James Juodvirsis V.1 They say that absence make the heart grow fonder And really what more can I say? 'Cause the distance between us, have made things stronger And brought us to this brave new day V.2 This year has been hell for many And I can't take back all the pain When I don't have a pot to piss in, or even a penny To get on that midnight train Chorus: But you once told me... What it is to be a man You showed me how to understand You always taught me right from wrong And showed me how to sing a song You always have been, i'm sure always will be There for me... Mom V.3 I know that you've been running on empty I know I've made mistake in the past I realize that I, left you untrusting And this time has flown by so fast Chorus: But you once told me... What it is to be a man You showed me how to understand You always taught me right from wrong And showed me how to sing a song You always have been, i'm sure always will be There for me... Mom (Solo) Chorus
