In that case sufficient triplex coupling with the ionized gas occurs to produce additional ionization or charge, breaching the tube’s cutoff threshold and producing a cascade discharge of electrons and voltage which is detected. But weak scalar waves are presently indetectable by ordinary instruments. However, these small scalar waves are detectable by sensitive interferometry techniques -- e.g., such as an electron interferometer.
