Story behind the song
Having to start my life over again back in my home town was my motivation and inspiration for this song.
Lyrics
Tears of pain are falling down my face I need to live my life a brand new way My bags are packed, I'm heading for the road I turn to say good-bye, but no one's home There's nothing else that I could do I can't live my life if I can't make my dreams come true My footsteps take me far away And the final traces of my past begin to past CHORUS: Where the sidewalk ends Is the place my life begins Where the sidewalk ends Is where I leave behind regrets Where the sidewalk ends Win or lose, I'll take the glory and the pain I will choose the way that brings me brighter days I'm at the crossroads, and I'm not afraid To choose the unmapped road that I should take Although my doubts are weighing on my mind I've found the will to spread my wings and fly Though the road is hard and long I will never run from bitter times that come along I'll guide my courage to the light Even if I'm blindly stumbling through the darkest night (Repeat CHORUS) BRIDGE: It's time for self-discovery It's time to find my pride Forget the past I'll take the chance With every step I take (Repeat CHORUS)
