Story behind the song
This was a song I wrote after an ugly break-up my Senior year of college...and the original lyrics were not-too-nice. But I pulled in this song to record for an up-and-coming vocalist that I was producing an album for....but that fell through as well. So after 3 facelifts and 3 re-writes, it looks and sounds much much better than the original. The song now reflects the fact that we must give up the temporary things that we think we love - in order to find the abundance of God's perfect love.
