Jim-n-Lisa play electronic, acoustic, world/new age, jazz, rock, and other styles; sometimes, all at once.
I'm not going to blow smoke up your nether regions, pretending to be some other person saying how great Jim-n-Lisa are. Originality and high quality productions are important to us. Please judge for yourself. We hope you find something enjoyable. Hi, I'm Jim. This music is created in my computer based studio. I play electric, acoustic, and bass guitars, keyboards, flute, saxes, Wx7 wind controller, electronic drums, and I've been doing some singing of late. The performance/recording technique is improvisational and mostly recorded in real time, one track at a time by me. Lisa sings and creates most of her own vocal melodies and harmony lines. Thanks for listening, - Jim

Story behind the song
This song is set in one possible near future, where the breadbasket has turned to dust-bowl. It's been described as a "sing-song-y" and "Christmas-y" sounding ballad.
Lyrics
Oh children, don't you worry, We're going to be alright, Close your eyes I'll tell a story, 'Bout a wondrous and hopeful sight. This land was not dusty, And this land was never so dry, In the days before the warming, We fed the world with wheat and rye. The rain is going to fall, And the sky will open up, Salt Creek again will rise, Runnin' over like a cup, And the rain is going to fall, The rain is going to fall, again. Oh children are you sleeping? You don't want to see me cry, The green fields I grew up with, Exist only in my mind's eyes. It tortures me to remember, As I wait for the water truck, How the water used to flow from above and below, Oh the fortune and the luck. If the rain would only fall, If the clouds would shed their tears, If the seeds would only grow, And put to rest my fears, That the rain will never fall That the rain will never fall, again. Oh children are you dreaming, Of a land that you'll never see, Where the ditch out back becomes a river, And Big Hole becomes a sea? You'll be playing in the rain, And splashing in the mud, And the water trucks will rust, And it'll never be the same again. The rain is going to fall, And the sky will open up, Salt creek again will rise, Runnin' over like a cup, And the rain is going to fall, The rain is going to fall, again.
