FDP Jam Tracks
This band page is going to be used for all of the jam tracks that have been posted by the FDP users at the "Home Recording" section at FenderForum.com. Check it out. Folks lay down basic bass/drums/guitar/effect tracks and allow users to add guitar and other parts. Pretty cool.
Story behind the song
This one is called Indian Casino. I guess it is about lower middle class folks (living in a trailer park?) trying to deal with the attraction of a casino. When I wrote the song, no pre-concieved story was involved. I was trying to find a word that rhymed with "go", casino came up and then the song began to take shape. Well I tried to talk to my baby
She’s always in a hurry to go
I want to be serious, talk about things
But she just always says no
I’ve lost my baby to the Indian Casino
The neon lights are flashing
The pretty boys are dancing
The drinks are flowing
And the lights are down low
I say this for real, but she says “Hey, shut up and deal”
I lost my baby to the Indian Casino
The bank account is low, the bills are high
I don’t know where to turn, it makes me want to cry
She says ‘What’s the Fuss”, but she needs Gambler’s Anonymous
I’ve lost my baby to the Indian Casino
Well I tried to talk to my baby
She’s always in a hurry to go
I want to be serious, talk about things
But she just always says no
I’ve lost my baby to the Indian Casino
I’ve lost my baby to the Indian Casino
I’ve lost my dreams to the Indian Casino
