Original Music in Popular Styles Written from a Christian Perspective
Did you know that Carter is the 42nd most popular last name in the U.S.? Or that Robert is the 3rd most popular 1st name?!?!?!?!? Well I asure you that if you are looking for a guy that loves Jesus, writes music to worship and glorify the Father Son and Holy Spirit AND writes...4th and 5th grade band music...? I'M your man!!! These days I have mostly been doing occassional solo gigs as I court the lovely and talented Mindy Schott (my girlfriend of 6 months.) I do orriginal contemporary worship and pop rock orriginals from a Christian perspective. There's just enough humor, sincerity, and vulnerability to keep the audience attentive as I share my Christian experience in an attempt to meet people where they are and bring them closer to God. With the band, we do a lot of "secular" rock covers with a Christ centered focus. That way, people are bound to hear the songs again and have the seed watered.

Story behind the song
It's all in the song, but essentially it's a story about something weird I said about my cat sleeping in a hollow koala.
Lyrics
Branda’s Invitationw (Hollow Koala) © 2006 Rob Carter For Branda Tillow At a carnival based in Walla Walla, Washington Bug’s said he was from there when he was selling stuff for vacuumin’ The carnival came to visit us in Tom, a Llama, Thomaston I was wanderin’ there and I was down and I was mumblin’ Someone close by won a giant stuffed marsupial Really quite impractical but I could see the appeal (uppy-ull) That I night I did want it just to pound on and rip up e ull The way that thing looked back at me I saw that It was mutial Bridge I And it was there that what most would call a bear Would become the inspiration I mumbled something quite weird and would repeated it At Branda’s invitation Chorus I Yes it was there that I told her at that carnival from Walla Walla I told her “my cat sleeps in a hollow koala.” Verse II Branda laughed hard with a look of incredulity I thought she was thinking that I suffered from insanity When she finally spoke it was with her famed hyperbole She said I was awesome, but I’m just a comic wannabe Bridge II Now my wife and I are psyched she’s in our life So upon her graduation It would be wrong if I didn’t write this song As a means of celebration Chorus II Of the time that I told her at that carnival from Walla Walla My cat sleeps in a Hollow Koala Max Cat Sleeps in a Hollow Koala Franca Sleeps in a hollow Koala Sophie sleeps…no she’s a dog!
