I hope the the writing on this one more so shines through
indie acoustic melodic chill vocal solo sleepytime
16 year old kid playing acoustic guitar with mellow sounds and slow quiet yet energetic music.
Greetings Salutations and Hello. I Once Dreamt A Dream is the new side project from singer songwriter Spencer Beasley, or me. I started this side project after realizing that i started writing songs that were much differnt than the songs i normally write. I think this is partly due to a new taste in slower music. Regardless it didnt seem right to continue to fill up my repuetoire as a solo artist with these slow sleepytime songs thus I Once Dreamt A Dream was born. Im not sure how well this will actually work out but i do know that im excited to have a place to vent my other writing. These songs are recorded with a voice and an acoustic guitar, maybe the occasional tamborine or shaker. Anyways i hope you enjoy and as the History of I Once Dreamt A Dream unfolds ill update more, so until next time......

Story behind the song
well i was sitting on the john one night and my frustrations just kinda poured from the pen, for some reason it all came together in about 10 min.
Lyrics
Drink down the poison Tumble into the rabbit hole where the ocean will only seem much larger because the darker it gets the more open our eyes become absorbing the darkness to search for the light Our lives are still and posed manaquins dressed for the occasion and were bound by the plastic smiles plastered to our faces research the part know your lines and play it well the clock will not suddenly start to tick up bleach all the edges it wont repair the frayed threads this disguise can only hide its true colours Just a painting been redone adorned with fancy brushstrokes that will one day be thinned enough to loosten its grip on our smile
