My name is Russell Taylor Ashby and I am a British singer/songwriter/musician currently resident in the United States. I have been playing the guitar, mandolin, banjo and harmonica for most of my life and have had experience of many genres of music; acoustic folk, country, heavy rock, punk rock and jazz. In recent years, I have been very involved in songwriting and performing live in many different and varied venues including pubs, clubs, theatres and festivals. I returned to my folk/blues roots because, having been through the past few decades trying different genres, I rediscovered my passion for the simplicity and purity of acoustic music.
