Sharp Practise are a classic rock band but not an over the top screaming yelling rock n' roll monster, this is the sound of a band who like to keep things quiet
Sharp Practise is an original, upbeat rock group with a unique sound, great lyrics and music that will keep you humming our tunes for weeks. The band started in 1999 when songwriter Nigel Clothier started working with producer Mark Daghorn.

Story behind the song
Morgan’s Creek is an imaginary town in the heart of Australia. It’s the kind of small town you have to leave in order to see the world, but it’s also the kind of place you end up back home in, settling down. The lyrics also try to portray the world weariness of the traveller and the fact that Morgan’s Creek is a sanctuary from the madness of the world. Finally, it deals with the dangers and opportunities of travelling, angel looking devils and kissing friends.
Lyrics
I’ve been on so many tiring journeys, I’m aching in my bones and in my mind I’ve seen so many things we’ve got in common, so why do we let anyone choose sides? Spent too long asleep with one eye open, looking for a kissing friend somewhere Let me get to Morgan’s Creek, let me get to Morgan’s Creek Let me get to Morgan’s Creek, my treasure’s buried there There’s been moments when my heart felt light as feathers, and times it’s been an anchor weighing me down It’s acted as the force that keeps me going, when others might have quit or gone to ground And angel looks that hid a little devil, tickled my feet into their fire Let me get to Morgan’s Creek, let me get to Morgan’s Creek Let me get to Morgan’s Creek, my treasure’s buried there It’s done me good to be away, I’ve gained so much in many ways, now I’m sure I wanna stay
