Story behind the song
God Save the Queen is one of the most famous punk songs ever, recorded in the 70's by the Sex Pistols. It should have been number 1, but parliament thought it would be embarassing because it coincided with the Queen's silver jubilee. So the Pistols were number 2 and a crap Rod Steward song got an undeserved number 1. This song will forever live on in the hearts of anyone that has anything to do with rock 'n' roll.
