Lyrics
The city is where I leave it,everything I own;
my pride, my dignity, my music and my soul.
The people are so exquisite and I feel at home,
seaside, oh, hear my plea, elusive and so close.
I wanna be, I need to see, I gotta be.
Take me back to the city,
Where the light shines on me.
Take me back to the city,
Its where I need to be.
On Massachussetts Avenue, such a lovely view.
We played so happily, although we never knew;
We'd leave one day from the cape
No I can't escape, the space trapped inside me,
Flying free to the sluice.
