Original Music in Popular Styles Written from a Christian Perspective
Did you know that Carter is the 42nd most popular last name in the U.S.? Or that Robert is the 3rd most popular 1st name?!?!?!?!? Well I asure you that if you are looking for a guy that loves Jesus, writes music to worship and glorify the Father Son and Holy Spirit AND writes...4th and 5th grade band music...? I'M your man!!! These days I have mostly been doing occassional solo gigs as I court the lovely and talented Mindy Schott (my girlfriend of 6 months.) I do orriginal contemporary worship and pop rock orriginals from a Christian perspective. There's just enough humor, sincerity, and vulnerability to keep the audience attentive as I share my Christian experience in an attempt to meet people where they are and bring them closer to God. With the band, we do a lot of "secular" rock covers with a Christ centered focus. That way, people are bound to hear the songs again and have the seed watered.

Story behind the song
Teaching a bass lesson, I strated playing the classic slap and pop like the beginning of this song. Frank Senechal started doing an exagerated version of the John Travolta classic disco move (point up to the right, down to the left). Alex Sterner said "That's not disco!" I said "It could be!" Alex said "Well ya still look like a monkey!" I said "Hey, Simian Disco" and made up the bridge then and there. The rest I wrote while in the shower the next day. It was never quite disco enough so today (1/26/05) I improved it. Not perfect yet, but moving in the right direction.
