Original Music in Popular Styles Written from a Christian Perspective
Did you know that Carter is the 42nd most popular last name in the U.S.? Or that Robert is the 3rd most popular 1st name?!?!?!?!? Well I asure you that if you are looking for a guy that loves Jesus, writes music to worship and glorify the Father Son and Holy Spirit AND writes...4th and 5th grade band music...? I'M your man!!! These days I have mostly been doing occassional solo gigs as I court the lovely and talented Mindy Schott (my girlfriend of 6 months.) I do orriginal contemporary worship and pop rock orriginals from a Christian perspective. There's just enough humor, sincerity, and vulnerability to keep the audience attentive as I share my Christian experience in an attempt to meet people where they are and bring them closer to God. With the band, we do a lot of "secular" rock covers with a Christ centered focus. That way, people are bound to hear the songs again and have the seed watered.

Story behind the song
Two things motivated it orriginally. Firstly, ny roomate at the time had challenged me to write something with a straight forward explicit gospel. Secondly, my best friend would always sign his letters "Love, lust, and passion, Robert Messore). That was the original title of this song. You see those lyrics on the first chorus. No matter how any songs I write, their are those who still insist that this is my best (written 14 years ago!).

And all the things we confront in life that increase our burden so... He'll trade for his burden, light, and through all things help us grow. CHORUS II And all that we have to do if we want to live forever is to trust in his grace. One day we'll be made like him when we're standing before him and see him face to face. And nothing can seperate us from the love Jesus shows us so true. And I know we too will be with him if we will just Surrender Too.
