I may never make it to Nashville, and I may never be on the radio, but that's okay. That's not why I do what I do. I do what I do because I understand things best when I get them down in rhyming lines set to music. I do what I do because I believe that my Heavenly Father enjoys the songs that few hear just as much as He enjoys the songs that everyone hears. I do what I do because it's one of the best ways I know how to worship God, encourage friends, and uplift the body of Christ.

Story behind the song
I wrote this song at the beginning of the new year in hopes that this year will be the one when I finally stop running from God. I've realized He'll chase me down no matter where I go--not because He wants me to fear Him or to be miserable, but because He is deeply in love with His creation. I may see myself as beyond help, beyond love, and irreversibly flawed, but He sees the one for whom He gave His life.
