Story behind the song
Will you trust Him Statement... That God's desire of intimate day-to-day dependance and worship exists now just as strong as it did the forty years he led Israel by the hand in the desert. In Christ, however, what could not be obtained (fellowship with GOD) because of the stubborn will of man (sin)- Christ procured as a fullfilled promise instead of a command through his atonement on the Cross for our sins. We are free to worship and trust in Him through the Holy Spirit now as a gift of grace - just through faith in Him. I read in Deuteronomy how God's intention through all those years was for the good of his people. They failed, but he delivered through Christ (his only Son) for all who recieve Him by Faith. What a great time we live in now!! Will you trust Him Jeff Patrick 1/14/04
Lyrics
Will you trust Him Jeff Patrick 1/14/04 You can trust the Lord Where you are, where you stand You can trust Him Put your fate in His hands Will you trust the Lord Rest in His perfect plan You can trust Him Where you are, where you stand Will you trust Him ----------------------------------------- V.1 He led a nation through a dry and barren desert A cloud by day a fire by night To take their minds off their own Paths, desires, and pleasures That His commands would be their light --------------------------------------- V.2 He fed His Chosen unknown bread that came from Heaven Provided water from a stone To help them see their very lives depended on Him That they weren't meant to live on bread alone ----------------------------------------- V.3 His people failed Him many years within that desert He kept a remnant for His Own Name’s sake And through their seed He sent His Son to be our Savior Yaweh’s covenant, He would not break
