Advokit & Nekkbone are Non Status
Coming from two completely different upbringings, the parallel path of Advokit and Nekkbone has become one trail of superb lyricism and concise instrumental backdrops combined to become the super group, Non Status. Based out of the city of Edmonton, Advo and Nekk have quickly risen above expectations within their first year of linking up. Having opened up for major label acts such as Aftermaths"The Game", G-Units"Young Buck", former Bad Boy Records group"112", and an extensive resume of shows alongside artists such as west coast underground legend"Abstract Rude"(twice), 2004 Scribble Jams champion Skratch Bastid, canadian favorites Classified, Sweatshop Union, and Pocket Dwellers, and on the Epcor Stage at the 2005 Klondike Days Exposition, among countless other shows. Also, Non Status was the only representation of hip hop music at this years Canada Day Centennial Jam at the Commonwealth Stadium, sharing the stage with other acts like Randy Bachman, Calico Drive, and Barenaked Ladies. With the common goal to bring hip hop music back to its boom bap roots and away from the monotonous sound as of late, Non Status will be releasing their debut album "Status Quo". With the debut release and solo records on the way, Non Status ain't going nowhere like the stink in your shoes.
