A little country, a little blues, and a whole lot of Jesus and fun.
Dave Gearhart is a renowned contemporary worship leader, songwriter, and accomplished musician and composer, writing contemporary Christian songs since 1999. Dave has pooled his talents and put a few of his songs together to produce this solo artist album. With the inspirational Christian lyrics set to country and rhythm and blues arrangements, it is truly an upbeat and uplifting album. It is our prayer that this album will minister to you and your friends who may want something other than a hard rock or gospel or soft worship style of music. Hopefully, this is somewhere in between all that and you can offer your friends who like this kind of music a different look at who Jesus really is. He is the ANSWER. - Dave and Dave.

Story behind the song
How Long Can You Tread Water is a picture of today’s world. Each day, we see more and more of God removed from our society. Scripture has warned us that the more we push God away, the more He will stay away. So, how long can YOU do nothing about it? And if you do nothing, what will become of us?
Lyrics
Just yesterday I could stand in a school and I could pray And in my neighborhood In front of City Hall 10 Commandments stood To teach us right from wrong That's what made our families strong But now this mtv nation is walking with satan And now just one voice Attacks my faith, judges make my choice While they twist the word Of a law once so simple, now so absurd And with each day That we throw the name of God away We see satan's hand gripping our land So, how long can you tread water? How long can you hold your breath? If you don't do anything No one does any thing And complacency will surely be Our death Now as we cry We watch morals and ethical living die And as we fade Into the worldly chasm of sin we've made I hear satan's laugh As we race toward doom down his evil path Our only prayer to pray Is, "Jesus, come today!" (Just look around you… there's no prayer anymore)
