We are a 6 piece band although originally there were 8 of us. We were formed in 2017 as a U3A group, hence our former name, and by our love of Rock and Blues.

Story behind the song
Routes of Blues came about because of a holiday my wife and I took with our other lead guitarist Martin, and his wife in 2014. We followed the routes of Blues from New Orleans through Natchez, Clarksdale, Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga and Atlanta. Returning home with many memories and special experiences none of which could have been foreseen. This song was also arranged by Keith.
Lyrics
Routes of Blues by Mike Reynolds and Keith Parkes INTRO Going down to New Orleans On a wet and windy night We stayed at Bienville house Twas a warm and welcome sight We wandered through the streets Had beers in a couple of bars Took a trip down the Mississippi And a tram before collecting the car We're taking the Routes of Blues We got the music in our ears We're gonna find those blue suede shoes And the sounds the sights and the tears. Biscuits and Blues in Natchez And W K SO What is the song about the calliope Neither Rosco nor the others know And then we're off to Clarksdale To the Lofts at Five and Dime And an evening spent in Reds Where blues singers rise and shine. We're taking the Routes of Blues We got the music in our ears We're gonna find those blue suede shoes And the sounds the sights and the tears. Keyboard SOLO The Sun sets over the Mississippi At the Memphis River Inn We have to go to Graceland To visit the home of the King And then we're off to Nashville The Country Music Hall of Fame Look at all those cowboy boots None of them fit it's such a shame We're taking the Routes of Blues We got the music in our ears We're gonna find those blue suede shoes And the sounds the sights and the tears. Guitar solo Now it's breakfast in the Dinner Chattanooga track 29 The train waiting at the platform And It might just leave on time Atlanta Georgia is the final stop Where we find the Undergound Ma Plus it's the home of Coca-Cola And the airport is awaiting our call We're taking the Routes of Blues We got the music in our ears We're gonna find those blue suede shoes the sounds the sights the tears.
