Born July 31st, 1993 in Manhattan,New York, raised in Albany, New York, Rachel Helene Mergel or better known as "Mergy", knew the music was in her from an early age. Heavily inspired by The Notorious B.I.G and Kanye West, she would always sing and dance around the house as her family would record her and she would just love it! She always loved to be the center of attention, flashing lights, cameras, all eyes on her; this is her destiny. Rachel started getting into making Hip-Hop music when she was 13 years old. She always admired artist like Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas, 50 Cent, De La Soul, Missy Elliot, A Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, Common and Kanye West and thought to herself "That could so totally be me someday." So, she decided, one day to write all those lyrics and melodys that were stuck in her head for years and they just flowed naturally. And so on and so forth, she continued to write and make songs throughout the years, stopping only for a few years, and finally, just recently, was able to create a unique sound that she'd been trying to create for years. Overall, her sound is unique and really doesn’t sound like anyone else at the moment . Honesty, Loyalty, Respect is her motto, she lives by it! She just doesn’t love hip-hop, she loves music Rachel is an advocate, creator, performer and highly determined to succeed. She realizes that not everyone is meant to be famous, but she knows that god has a plan for her, and it’s all up to fate. She is humble, but too damn proud sometimes! She is a true lion, the king of the jungle. Rawr! Rachel dreams of being famous someday, and knows deep down inside, with a growing fan base, hard work, raw talent and the right "connection" pretty soon it will be knocking on her door!
