Story behind the song
When I was 14, my parents gave me this big, swirly lollipop. My sister, for my birthday that previous year bought me my first keyboard, and when I saw the lollipop that swirled, I imagined the chord progression for the main keyboard part in the song. Then from there I knew it had to be an escape song for the lyrics.
