A very stupid and pointless song that has nothing to do with strangling animals but is somehow connected to the time I worked for a certain supermarket chain.

Original songs from the mid to late 1970's. My first adventures in songwriting and performing. Good times
It exists therefore it am. They came from inner space and left no turn unstoned. The journey began and nothing was ever the same again (or during). Are you ready to cruise with the Spaceship Vicar?

Story behind the song
Recorded on TEAC A3340 with minimalist equipment. I'm not sure why. Has lyrics that reflect childhood images, shoplifters and office politics. Really? And why not a tuba? Somebody has to play tuba.
Lyrics
Strangling Animals at Tesco's Adrian J Pratt 1973 My mummy plays the tuba with an ..... And a weeny bit of bass ..... Isaac Newton eats apples Whilst Tiny clanger drinks soup Bluebottle replaces his wretched lugholes Whilst Zebedee has time to re-coop His spring to it's former Gravitational advantageous position. No promises but I'm sure you know how it goes One can only hope for sanctuary in the modern world As it is today. Herds of raging fools Trying to seize on anything that's passing by And like, like, bloodthirsty vulcher's they swoop down Swoop down on poor defenceless friends And then strangle them with viscious claws till the blood Yes the gory blood drips for them Drip drip drip And all this happened at Tesco's You wouldn't believe it if you weren't there Corns Armadillo Pause Oh the writing on the wall Has now begun to fall But never mind because I don't want to be irrelevant No... never mind No... never mind Because I don't , I don't, I don't, I don't want to be irrelevant. My mummy plays the tuba with an .... And a little bit of bass ..... You can blow that thing as loud as you like But it won't stop the world going round.
