Quite frankly, this beat is more crossover than hip-hop in regards to its musical structure, but i mixed it in favor to hip-hop over dub step to allow for transitions other than hard saws to take place (see 2:58). Make us remember what you say ;)

Story behind the song
Over 80% of American urban has witnessed someone die before the age of 18. To us, and to you, the person reading this that falls into that 80% of people, remember we are still here and our dreams do not end with the death of a friend. They become more realistic because the fact of the matter is that good times will not come without digression at some point. Knowing this, losing someone close to you isn't the time to give up, its the time to work harder and realize that our dreams are yet and still around the corner and this trap that we call home, is the environment that we live in only for the moment. As the butterfly breaks from it's cocoon so will we if we so long as we keep pushing. Progress is a slow progress and hard times pass like time. Let's celebrate for our enlightenment.
