Story behind the song
Aesop's Fable of "The Man with two Mistresses": A middle-aged man had two mistresses, one of whom was older than him, and one younger. Under the pretence of dressing his hair, the younger plucked out his grey hairs so that he would look closer in age to her, while the older plucked out the dark hairs with the same motive. Between the two, he was left bald. (Source: Wikipedia) Song's representative photo/artwork: 18th-century painting by Sebastien LaClerc the younger.

Kind of complex, this one, but life with two mistresses is that as well. This track feels like liquid to me. You just have to let it fall down upon your head. Original and enjoyable.

Wonderful playing here, jazz with a hint of country :o)
Fascinating the juxtopositions created here with the surprising arrangement. It works and I really like it!

Very nice - I love the mandolins and this piece has a sound of it's own, it's bluegrass in sound with jazzy chordprogressions. Really great!
