Story behind the song
For the Coconut Blues Club (CBC) 1/26/13 Native American Music Song Challenge at 9PM/UK on SoundClick. The historic 1908 photograph representing this JBBQ song "Counting Coup" is by Edward Curtis. The photo shows Sioux Indian Warriors in a parley (discussion or conversation). The details of this old photo captured the feathers, proudly worn by the Native American Indian Warriors, which were awarded for various acts of bravery in battle in the face of the enemy. In practice, Counting Coup has been worldwide throughout human history. From awarded feathers to medals to ribbons and other symbols of courage and bravey in battle; or even contests such as the Olympics and various sporting events.

Thoughtfully arranged, powerful beat and celebratory vibe to honor the pride of the victor. Sublime flute melodies, brilliantly captured, sweeeeeet!
