Story behind the song
This song came about as a sort of pep talk to myself about how life and myself as a person was worthwhile with a wide variety of things to believe in if you just took the time to see them rather than dwelling on all of the negative things that happen in the course of your life.
Lyrics
Verse 1 What do you see? A world laced with opportunity Anything you say you want at all You can make yourself have So I see You’ve made a few bad choices in your life It doesn’t mean You should throw it all away Verse 2 What can it be That’s brought you past the point of believing You have the sun, the moon, the stars You can worship up above When it’s you and you’re alone I’m talking about You when you have no home All the things you need Are here and ready to be freed Chorus When it’s all in your heart Everything you know All the things you want to go through All the feelings you won’t show And it’s all in you head All those angry thoughts All the things you try to hold to When you know your spirit has been lost Verse 3 What do you mean You’re gone Far past the point of being? I see how wonderful you are? That you could go far Pre-Chorus 2 But you seem So sad and lost from your disillusioning I think you need To remind yourself of who you are Chorus 2 When it’s all in your heart Everything you know All the things you want to go through All the feelings that you’d show And it’s all in your head Every angry thought All the things you want to leave behind To discover who you are Outro When everything you are to me is amazing And everything you are to me is good Every part of you I see is a wonderful, amazing thing You are to me so good
