A sort of indicator that I'm getting better at finding the sounds that I hear in my head without having to fish through presets and effects until I end up improvising something completely different. The opening section popped in while I was listening to smooth jazz at work. Oddly enough. Even more odd is that the idea wasn't exhausted by the time I got home to compose it.
