Story behind the song
Les writes...: Pete sent me some great Lyrics, but unfinished. I added some more Lyrics for the Chorus, and came up with what turned out to be my first song in 3/4 time, "One Day Soon". The second section started life in 1992 as just a short Piano phrase I wrote...Pete and I have built it into "Tomorrow's Ghosts".... its our mini epic..... :) Keyboards and Synths - Pete Guitar/Bass/Vocals/piano/bubbly synth/Drum program- Les
Lyrics
The self-made man rests in his lair his empire growing everywhere His pride and joy just empty boast one day soon.... The worker prays for better things beside his bed alarm bells ring his daily bread now blackened toast one day soon...   one day soon he'll discover the masterplan and finally get what he came for one day soon believe in the dream and learn to be free The preacher slams the church door closed Another day of empty rows he prays for this invisible host one day soon..   The warrior moves in for the kill while all around is strangely still the band will play one more last post one day soon... one day soon he'll discover the masterplan and finally get what he came for one day soon believe in the dream and learn to be free   The gambler finds a winning streak each victory one more defeat he hurt the ones he loved the most one day soon tomorrows ghosts
