The underground hip hop (not rap) group Profetik Voices is Anaktix and Counter Teknology but Counter Tek doesn't have any music up yet so it's currently just my tracks (anaktix).
I'm a positive person and am always striving to make music with a meaning 'n message. I wanna make original tracks that the listener can relate to and just feel. So check out my tracks and drop a comment in the message board (if you leave a link i'll check ya tracks).

Story behind the song
ummmm.......it was 230 am 'n i was bored so i decided ta write somethin kinda different, it has ta do with lucid dreaming.
aight, i'ma break it down in case ya didn't catch it cuz i'm kinda abstract:
i say i went to a retirement home to have a concert, then i start feeling weird 'n slip into a dream in which i find out i'm dreaming then i fly then i wake up 'n still i think i can fly......

i was scheduled to do a show, scheduled ta flow
but i arrived ta find it was at an old folks home
oh no! but fuck it, i really need the funds
so i stepped inside the room 'n let the beats bump...
release, spit melodies, escape from my body
rippin instrumentals in different ways is my chosen hobby
got my head noddin 'n bobbin 'n grannies rockin in chairs
they can't hear the words, but hear a "philosophical air"
and then i stare inta the distance, i lose myself
listen in with persistance, find i've bruised my health
somethin's off 'n somethin's not right
a sudden cough, then it all fades ta night
bright light surrounds me, and then i see my friends
we're all chillin, shit it's the weekend
then my fully conscious mind blends with this one
drops some wisdom, mentions lucidity, this is it son
so i realize the time is dream 'n not reality
i thought i couldn't fly, ha, that's a fallacy
i'm not mad at me, i'm actually pleasently surprised
cuz i thought i couldn't fly?? please that's a sure lie
just then my third eye started talkin ta me
told me i could do this even if it's not in a dream
but in a wakin state, i could get high like wake 'n bakes
flyin 'n shit, that experience would take the cake
so make this fate come true i understood
cuz it's a long path, i'ma do what runner would
now back to my current mindstate, i stayed in that blind state
as time changed at a fine rate/
but then i remembered, what i'd be thinking forever
took a deep breath, i gotta get it together
so then i took a step 'n jumped as i outstreched
i took a breath in then shouted that i confessed
that this was the dopest feeling ever invented
i'm flying over hills i knew i'd never regret it, ever
then the excitement got me, i awoke that instant
the feeling was intense and it left an imprint
inside of my brain, i got off the floor
stepped to the window frame, jumped cuz i thought i could soar....
