Threshing Floor is Parish Ruth (vocals, guitars), Josh Ruth (bass), and Andy Covington (drums). This formation of the band began in early 2009. Parish and Josh are brothers while Andy joined thru a mutual friend at church. From there we continued to meet at least once a week on the weekends to fellowship, pray then play.

Story behind the song
Many in the foster care system are pushed from one home to another without warning. One day you are living with a family that might become your "forever family", the next day you could be taken in the middle of the night or even from school in broad daylight leaving behind belongings and the very things that gave you security, identity and proof of existence. For those of us who believe in Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are adopted into the family of God. We are not limited to flesh and blood making us family. We are ONE in the Spirit - one in the Lord.
