This is the realist hip-hop you've heard in a while
There was a point in time when rap was soulful funky and had a hard-edged punch that most genres of real black music have always possessed. Nowadays however that feel-good funk vibe has all but disappeared from much of hip-hop as most of today’s rap artists have become more concerned with making a Top 10 Billboard pop hit than making a tight trunk-knocking jam. Fortunately Bosschrome is here to put the funk and darkness back into hip-hop. Born in Tennessee and raised in South-suburban Chicago Bosschrome moved to Atlanta in 1999 at the age of 16. Already interested in being a rap artist he linked up with a group of aspiring rappers and producers from his North Metro Atlanta high school and began recording homemade 4-track rap mixtapes in his mother’s basement and distributing them to his peers at school. As time passed and Bosschrome moved on from high school his musical ambitions progressed from merely being a hobby to being a career focus. Over a period of seven years from 2001 to 2008 Bosschrome utive-produced several underground rap compilations worked with many different underground Atlanta rap artists and experimented with many different rap styles and sounds. Finally in 2009 after experiencing numerous setbacks and difficulties attempting to work with other groups and rappers Bosschrome decided to strike out on his own as a solo artist. He then worked with several producers to create a sound that complimented his cool as ice demeanor, African occult beliefs and machine-gun rhyme style. Now in 2011 Bosschrome is fully-armed and ready to put the punch of darkness back into hip-hop. So if youre tired of hearing the swagged-out braggadocio rap that dominates popular radio or the techno euro-dance pop rap Bosschrome while satisfy you with some deep darkside funky hip-hop that comes from the soul.
