Welcome to the SoundClick Page of Recording Artist Harold "HDUB" Whaley. Born in Inverness, Florida Harold has been attached to music since birth. As a young vocalist in the church choir, he caught the entertainment bug early in his life. Hdub spent the majority of his adolecence growing up on a farm in the city that bares the honors of being crowned "The City of the Worlds Greatest Horse Farms". So hard work was not a stranger to Harold. Reaching his teenage years and not having a choir in school to hone his skills he joined the high school band and became the only freshmen at North Marion High School in Citra, Florida to be placed in the 1st Jazz band and Symphonic Band. He was awarded "Outstanding Freshmen Musician" his beginning year in High School. The next four years saw him harnessing the "Outstanding 1st Jazz Band Member". At the advice of his then music director "Barden Cuddington" he joined the U.S. Navy to pursue the Navy Band. "That move allowed me to leave the small town mentality of Ocala, Florida my then home of residence since the 4th grade". Harold remarks. The change of my surroundings allowed me to see the world and face the harsh reality of life. Joining the Navy proved to be a challege in maintaining his vocal and brass horn skills. Harold found a way to do it. In early 1985 he was stationed in Philadelphia on a AirCraft Carrier as a Radar Operator. Harold found himself in a band that was together for 8 months and never played one gig. As the band was searching for it's first location to perform a gig, they embarked on a Club called "2nd Story" a famous hotspot for popular recording artist to perform live. This particular evening the artist "Jean Carne" was the act. Unbeknownst to Harold Jean would call him on stage to perform with her and hence begins a music career thats has expanded over 2 decades.
