Story behind the song
Maurice was an men's suit salesman from Montreal in Canada. Tatiana was a first grade school teacher from Sao Paulo, Brazil. They were each drawn to Dublin, Ireland by their mutual love for the writings of James Joyce. They met on Bloomsday, June 16th. They fell in love, and though they spoke different languages, they thought that communicating through the language of love would be enough. This is a song cycle about understanding, and misunderstanding, about communication and miscommunication, about frustration and fulfillment. You supply the dancing in your mind.
