An 60s-style band featuring original music for the new century
For every band like the Rolling Stones which survived through many decades, there were countless bands, like the Fabulous Carpetbaggers, that succumbed for a variety of reasons. Reforming as the Baggerz and creating original tunes that speak to their rock n' roll and folk rock origins, the band may have the Guinness record for the band that's played the longest without a recording. But now, due to the marvels of technology, here it is.

Story behind the song
In the spring of Two Thousand, Three, during the height of the SARS outbreak, many international families were delayed in their quests to adopt babies from China. During this delay, many were comforted by the Legend of the Red Thread, “An invisible red thread [that] connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break."
Lyrics
RED THREAD “An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break." For Dang Li, “LiLi Rachel” Red thread connecting me and you Cannot be cut nor torn in two Beyond all time and circumstance The tangled web of a loving dance Invisible yet meant to see Our meeting time, this destiny In a St. Vrain mornin’ near a red rock sky Sandstone steps a’waitin’ keep the bare feet dry The Wall begins to fail its task The Dragon hides behind the mask China’s dying and her daughters cry Against a smoky, barren sky The water’s calling from the other side The music echoes and calls her bride In a Beijing mornin’ near a red thread sky There’s a billion frightened by a butterfly The water’s silent as it slips away The Pearl weeps for the ancient ways INSTRUMENTAL BREAK Stars lightin’ up the eastern sky Same light shines in our eyes Moon shadows dance across the sea Red thread connecting you and me Ancestral winds sing your reprieve It’s your life…can you believe? In a columbine morning, ‘neath a paintbrush sky A mother’s voice is calling, let this angel fly Somewhere a lonely baby cries…
