A powerful, and bold rapper from Missouri. with catchy lyrics, strong beats, and a solid message, Versifyer is sure to amaze you.
Definition: Versifyer - A writer who composes verses or rhymes. Versifyer (Jerry B. Hall II) was born in Kansas City Missouri in 1988. Raised in a small metro town he quickly learned that he did not “fit in”. Bullied, teased and humiliated, he decided to stick his thoughts to paper and let them out that way...after all, paper doesn't judge. Thoughts turned to poems, poems to songs, songs to rap...this was the beginning of the revolution. Versifyer started pouring everything about himself into a genre he knew nothing of. Raised on rock n' roll he was out-casted by even certain family members and friends. “Changed Ways” was written by Versifyer in 2002, and released in 2003 featuring vocals by himself and S.4.C, and mentoring from Lyrycyst. The track was underdeveloped and raw, however it showcased a premature talent, and an astounding heart. 500 copies were distributed before the track was rerecorded and remastered in 2005. Along the way were tracks such as “My Genesis”, “Destiny”, “Refocused”, “Ready or Not” and many others. Soon word escalated of the artist and he was enveloped in the underground scene of Kansas City, where pressure and pain turned him against the industry. Years later this one of a kind artist is a true poet and an awe striking musician, well known for his flawless complex rhyme scheme, and tongue twisting speed rap. He boldly declares his beliefs and passions through his music, lifting up and also offending many listeners, with one purpose: to rebuild the industry the way it was meant to be built, with diversity and love! Versifyer has worked with artists such as: Lyrycyst, M1ssundastood, Lyrikal Assassin, S.4.C, Camouflage, DJ Ryan Goode and Mythykah. And shared the stage with many more such as: The Body and the Blood, Top Spin and Die to Yourself. Versifyer is also the award winner of "best rapper in the state" in a compitition held by AOG.

Lyrics
These thoughts are scarin me wearin' me tearin' me down deeply I try to speak but I don't think there's any noun easy to use that would describe the type of anguish that I'm facin' The pain which I embrace in my soul is less complacent then I try to make it out to be-I bring about some odd looks people rant and shout at me-from behind their facade books they don't understand my bouts of aimless motivation but when momentum builds...I've got all of the frauds hooked... I saw and took an opportunity-to be the thing I knew to be- the greatest-get paid just-to play this-con-tin-u-al-ly ...all my energy...I've never focused it more... ...soak and absorb-the openness and hope for a force Of something stronger than my words to come in with a plan to purge the lyrics from my brain that I spit in the street and in the church ...if you're one to come across and think that you can threaten death Don't second guess you best be sure or you gon' be regrettin' that No matter where I go...forget me not no matter what I say...forget me not no matter what I do...forgive me God and forget me not...forget me not I won't succumb to cumbersome or any such complacency I won't go numb you'll find a love so pure inside my blatancy set apart the demons from the love and let forgiveness flow Let the speakers scream inside the beams of light or end the show You can brake me down or take me round or two to paint the town... red cause it would be a relief...I'm sick of shakin' now I'm writin' what I can...if it's only one line I'm done waitin' for sunshine-if you think I've done fine Life's is fine and rhymin' time is wonderful lately I've been happy though I know there's some who will hate me comin' up I'm runnin' rough...I know that they rate me stage fright's gone fight's on-I'll win no matter what the case be And I'm not crazy...I know exactly what I say to you You can judge and laugh at me while I do what I'm made to do I'm not ever...stoppin for a minute to breath I'll run and not get weary...I won't be decieved Poor but not for lack of tryin'...never givin' up or cryin' Never come across-another lost-man with asinine... dreams it seems the schemes of which have left me in a bind me and rap we skip the map together intertwined I immerse myself in-to a blackened- pit of relativity and waste my days tryin' to live a life of creativity A sacrifice for all the sins I've laid on my mortality But all is lost and in the end it seems I've lost morality The song is nearly perfect...I question if it's worth it I miss the pain of darkened days of torment...I deserve it I face a great opponent...hate for only moments love for an eternity and hope that no one's noticed Lonesome when I sit and write stay fit and fight my demons Maybe if I beat them all I'll finally find my eden It's touching how the people stare aware that I'm forgotten My corpse will lay alone tonight unmarked and left for rotten
