Story behind the song

Some of the greatest names in Heaven's Hall of Fame began their ministry from moments of shame and failure. Such a consideration should give each modern-day disciple the courage to go on in spite of our short-comings - strengthened by the story of God's love that is available to each one of us.

I heard about a man one day who fell from heaven's grace
And I wondered if he'd been abused but such was not the case
He'd once proclaimed for all to hear that Jesus was the One
But under heavy scrutiny he disavowed the Son 
	
	Well the last I heard he preached the word and thousands came to see
